Baia Mare Metropolitan Area Intercommunity Development Association is implementing, as partner, the “MaaSolutions – Digital solutions for sustainable urban mobility” project, funded through the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 Programme, project code 02C0616.

MaaSolutions aims to enhance urban mobility by introducing innovative strategies such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS). This approach encourages a shift towards sustainable transport modes, offering simplified access to multiple mobility options while reducing the negative impact of car traffic on cities.

Focusing on sustainable urban mobility planning, the project promotes knowledge exchange and workshops at both local and international levels. These activities will contribute to the identification of effective digital tools and solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of transport systems.

On 17–18 September 2025, the Association will host the second international exchange of experience within the project. The event is set to take place in Baia Mare and will welcome experts and decision-makers in the field of urban mobility from Italy, Greece, Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Latvia, and Serbia.

This occasion provides an excellent opportunity to showcase to an international consortium the city’s local transport platform, the metropolitan public transport operator, and the ongoing and planned mobility projects included in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Baia Mare Municipality and the Baia Mare Metropolitan Area. All initiatives share the same objective: aligning with European principles on sustainable mobility and developing a safe, efficient, and accessible environment for all citizens.
