DPB Group Expands Fleet with Diesel-Vectron Locomotive. The locomotive will operate în Germany and Austria

On March 12, 2025, DPB Group successfully acquired a Siemens Diesel-Vectron locomotive (X4 DE) through a bidding process. The locomotive, bearing the vehicle number 92 80 1247 901-2, was officially taken over in Wegberg-Wildenrath, Germany, on March 26, 2025, before being transferred to Austria. Upon arrival, it was given the distinctive DPB design at our ECM workshop in Krieglach and is now operational.

This addition significantly enhances DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH’s capabilities, particularly in construction logistics. The Diesel-Vectron’s versatility enables it to operate efficiently on non-electrified rail routes in both Germany and Austria, strengthening our service capacity and supporting future infrastructure projects.
